The Eastern Gold Limousin stud was born out of a passion for cattle. James is a geologist by trade, travelling extensively for work throughout Africa, North America and parts of Europe- exploring for gold.

 

After farming a successful commercial herd of mixed Brahman, Brangus and Beefmaster cattle for 10 years, the couple's search for the Gold Standard in carcass quality, with a higher slaughter percentage, deboning ratio and meat tenderness, finally led them to the Limousin breed. In addition to the superior quality of Limousin carcasses, they are also noted for their docility, excellent mothering abilities and fertility.
